:: Impressionisitic Photography

It was in 1980, long before Photoshop, that I developed what would become my favorite way to express myself photographically: erase the details of an image, and only keep the shapes and color and light. I experimented with many variations of this technique in all aspects of life—whether outdoors, or in my studio. Over time I received considerable media exposure, with many articles in the press, and a book of my work was eventually published, entitled “Imagine”. From there I went on to do many interesting projects, including cover photography for English recording artist, Mike Oldfield’s album “Discovery”, and have had the pleasure of exhibiting my artwork in France, Switzerland, and the United States.

:: My Photography Today

Portraiture is one of my greatest passions, and I continue to immortalize the world of children, as well as adults, whether in the perfectly controlled light of my studio, or on location. Currently I am working an ongoing series of artistic nudes, keeping only a few ray of lights, to achieve an image of a total purity and simplicity.

:: Photographic Reproduction of Artwork

My long professional experience, as well as my deep knowledge of art history, allows me to master any kind of technical situation, and to give back through lighting, the quintessence of each art piece that I have to reproduce. I also travel with my equipment and shoot on location, which keeps the potential hazard of handling delicate artwork to a minimum. I can either use digital or my Argentic 4x5 film camera, which, in my opinion, offers the greatest flexibility, especially when the color variations are very subtle.
